my vintage crystal stacking rings were picked for a weekend gift guide!! not a huge deal - but first time i have been highlighted by etsy...which out of thousands of sellers - exciting for me!!
so for this weekend - it will be short and sweet - but its a little etsy love!!
also, jayme had her first sale on her trashbaggs shop yesterday! i think i'm more excited than her...but she is a little!! the cracker jack bag - so cute!!
how many bags does a girl need??!! but too - how can a girl pass on a kate spade??!! jayme and i had ten minutes to kill so we dashed into a little second hand shop... i was rummaging through old scarves, she spotted this little spotted beauty! 'hey mom, a kate spade!!'
( do you really want to know how much i paid? ) so, now i'm feeling a little greedy..i was given a gorgeous coach bag from my sisters and daughters on my birthday and now a kate spade for summer....
i know, lucky me!!
this is it! the actual event! not meaning to bore you - but its really for me! i don't want to forget!! so i'll not belabor with words...i'll let the pictures tell the story...

actually, she's happy she got the diploma, we're happy we survived! (three hours plus ceremony!!) thanks lee and eric for coming!!
its been two weeks - i must be in a time warp...kind of feel like i'm standing still and events, people, everything is flying past at the speed of light!! i feel sad to be so late because it has been such a momentous event in our family - our firstborn graduating from high school!! i've said it before, but it really does feel like yesterday she was bouncing out the door - heading for kindergarten, not looking back... and that is still the same. she embraces these events and changes ahead of her with excitement and zest!
beth anticipated her graduation but didn't have expectations...so when our family gifted her with a laptop - i think she was genuinely surprised!!
and the gifts keep coming!! a cool flash drive.....
so as our girl grows up, ponders her future, we watch with anticipation!
she is compassionate, fun, strong willed, capable. we are proud, honored, humbled that she was given to us... and as she perches at the edge of the nest, and stretches her wings, we want her to know it is time to fly.
catching up...i've sat down to write..the words haven't come..the days have been full! of family. a birthday. a grad. a wedding. mingled with jewelry making and full, fun, tired filled days!! the words come slowly today again so i'll share the pictures. our memories. our treasures!!
we celebrated my little sisters birthday at the state park south of the town i grew up in...an absolutely beautiful, peaceful place. cool breezes mingling the woodsy warm cedar smells with pungent salty ocean air...

junior fifth!! my little sisters birthday!! i was a lucky girl, the middle of two sisters!! my older sister and i are one year and six days apart...needless to say, we grew up close -usually fighting, but close!
then came our sister. jill is four and half years younger than me, so generally was just a nuisance as a small child -someone to look after, keep track of, or clean up for...
jill was an stubborn, creative, brilliant (what kid do you know who reads the encyclopedia and guinness book of world records -cover to cover!!) child, an individual, definitely her own person!!
she is still all of that and more. we are proud of her accomplishments as a mom ( to our sammy!), wife (who else could live with the snoopmeister!!), her career (i'm sure anyone who is part of her training program doesn't forget her!), everything!
and we are happy she is ours! our sister. our friend.
tomorrow we will celebrate in our old stomping grounds, near the ocean, with our families.

swamped! underwater! gasping for air!! kind of how i've been feeling lately! know what i mean!? life with two teenagers and a home business can get crazy! i'm not complaining - its what i've wanted...there was a funny article on etsy about a poor guy who feels like an etsy widower...

i have been making some new pieces for my etsy shop as well as to send to a brick and mortar shop on vancouver island.... i am in love!! this lava and pinks bracelet is a perfect picture of contrast... the black against blush pink, seeming rough (its not at all!) texture of the lava to the smoothness of the peruvian opal and pearl. i love how chunky it is - and yet its light and wearable.... i kind of don't want to sell it!!
